In September 2013, the Communications Department opened up their brand new facility titled, Media Lab. This lab is dedicated to all communications students majoring in all areas (media and professional). Inside the lab, students will find 24 iMac computers for them to create a variety of content including videos, websites, podcasts, blogs, ad other multimedia content. The media lab hosts both class and lab hours. With the creation of the media lab, all of the iMac computers in the television studio moved out and into the new facility opening up more space for a larger studio. In October 2013, the Communications Department invited graduates back for an alumni gathering to catch up with each other, see the media lab, and the upgrades to the television studio.
